AIDS AWARENESS

Our goal is to evangelize, educate and provide assistance to the community. In the early 80's when AIDS/HIV became profound in the African American community, these issues were not addressed, The Humanity Foundation of Chicago and the Central United Community Church held its first African American AIDS walk. It was the first in the nation. Now we are advocates for "Age Appropriate" sex education. We have established two residential homes that provide housing, counseling and assistance to women, men and children afflicted with HIV/AIDS.

ACCESS TO RECOVERY

Access to Recovery (ATR) is a federally funded program that provides employment and support services to ex-offenders in the community. Through our training programs, they can obtain the following licenses as well as be educated on how to clear their arrest record.

Flagger License

Food and Sanitation License

Lead and Asbestos License

Entrepreneurial Workshops
